Richmond Furniture Exchange  was established in 1990 and was registered as a charity (1017910) in 1992, with the name changing to Furniture Scheme Richmond upon Thames in 1997.  From the 1st April 2010 all the assets of Furniture Scheme Richmond upon Thames were transferred to Richmond Furniture Scheme, a newly formed organisation registered as both a charity and as a company limited by guarantee.

Thank you

We are sorry to lose Cllr Katharine Haborne as one of our trustees/ Directors.  Due to her demanding schedule she has sadly had  to resign from the board.  We were most grateful for her help and contribution to the scheme in the last year.

Many thanks to Gina and Wendy who organised a Halloween event at hte scheme.  Many customers with children were delighted with the event.   They managed to raise funds to cover their costs and make some money forn to the Scheme.

AGM

Our AGM will was held 11th November 2011   at 2.30 p.m. at 1a Fortescue AVenue, Twickenham   TW2 5LS in the scouts hut.

We have recently changed our delivery charges.  We now charge £10 per delivery.

Several of our volunteers and trainees have been working hard doing basic maintenance and renovation work - giving Richmond Furniture Scheme a face-lift.

We are grateful to all our volunteers: those that help with our maintenance and refurbishment work and those that help in the office and warehouse and  to open the scheme on the first Saturdays of month  1000 - 1200

We desperately needed to address the pot-holes in the grounds but did not have the funds to do so.  We approached Conways to help us.  They offered to do the works free of charge.  One Friday morning they arrived at the agreed time and worked without a break to complete the work.  They worked with extraordinary efficiency and focus and then left.  We were delighted with their work.  We particularly wanted to thank Conways and their remarkable workers for helping us out.

We will be open on the following Saturday:

 December 3rd 2011

A big thank you also to  all our staff and trustees who have worked hard to ensure that we maintain a high-quality service

We value people's views and are grateful when you write in.  All your comments and remarks are read and valued, and they sometimes give rise to important changes.

Please keep writing in.  Send your comments to jogregory47@aol.com.

We have an excellent working relationship our local Job Centre and they provide us with a steady stream of people on placements - to work in our warehouse, helping Tony Harris  our warehouse worker, and Henry Brockman undertaking maintenance.  Their contribution is invaluable.

Iain Stuart (i.stuart@blueyonde.co.uk   Tel   020 8255 3156), a local graphic designer, kindly designed our leaflet - which has been admired by many.  Click her to view adobe reader
